dear tuesday: i hate you

Everything was great until So You Think You Can Dance moved to its regular two-hour Tuesday performance/Wednesday results lineup (until now, it’s just been one hour on Wed.)
Even then, I could easily skip the Dancing With the Stars results show, since nothing really happens. Except that November 3 marks the much-heralded, much-anticipated premiere of V. [...]

fall 2009 premieres

ETA: Holy crap! V’s premiering mid-fall instead of next spring? AWESOME. I was about to start going through Elizabeth Mitchell withdrawal. Stupid Lost.

Need to know when your favorite show(s) premiere?
Well, fortunately for you, I am bored and have nothing better to do than to cut and paste from various TV blogs. Also? Yeah, I’m slightly [...]

2009 fall tv schedule

So here we go: all times CST; * denotes new show; red highlights guaranteed Season Passes; green indicates those shows almost certain to gain SP status; purple indicates those shows on a trial basis; Idol gets its own color because I only watch the last quarter of it each season.
(As I’ve mentioned in earlier schedule-related [...]

upfronts: the cw

So the official CW Upfront presentation isn’t until tomorrow, but their fall schedule has already been confirmed, so I’m just going to post it now.
There was a point where I thought (with some horror) that I was going to be watching five shows on The Network That Thought Who Wants to Be A Pussycat Doll [...]

upfronts: nbc

All I really care about is that Chuck is renewed! Hallelujah! And yes, it’s only 13 episodes, and yes, they’ll have to scale back the supporting cast — possibly even cutting one actor — but really? I’m not sure I’d mind if there were no supporting cast outside Awesome and Ellie, because I only watch [...]

upfronts: abc

When favorite cast members of mine are killed off, I have a hard time wanting to continue watching the show, no matter how good it is. So now that ABC has confirmed the Elizabeth Mitchell rumor — that yes, she will, in fact, be a regular on the network’s reboot of the camptastic 80s drama [...]

upfronts: fox

A roundup: FOX is bringing back So You Think You Can Dance this fall instead of waiting for Summer 2010. It’s also renewed American Idol (shocker) and the majority of its edgy dramas, including House, Fringe, 24, Lie to Me, Bones, and, to my surprise and delight, Joss Whedon’s ratings-challenged (but awesome) Dollhouse.
For all my [...]

according to ausiello

ETA most recent renewals/cancellations – Chuck’s renewed! Castle’s renewed! Dollhouse is renewed! YAY!

Michael Ausiello’s got a list of shows and their fates; he will be updating accordingly, and so will I.
Since I sometimes feel bad that I basically take advantage of the work others do and just use the cut/paste option, I’ll add some comments. [...]

nbc’s fall sked — still no word on chuck

I don’t care about the other bubble shows — Medium, Law and Order, My Name Is Earl — conspicuously left out of NBC’s fall unveiling. I also find it surprising that Parks & Recreation got a pick-up and the network’s still keeping mum about Chuck’s fate.
Not that Parks & Rec isn’t amusing. It is. But [...]
