I should’ve come up with a more compelling title, but I’m going on five hours of sleep over the past two days, my eyes are about to slide shut, and my brain is mush. So I figured “first official new moon trailer” was better than, you know, “GUH. AMAZING.”
Because it is amazing. Kristen Stewart looks [...]

I was watching last night’s O’Reilly Factor, and in the opening segment, Bill O’Reilly was discussing Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court with Dick Morris and Bernie Goldberg. He then discussed certain comments popping up in the far-right and far-left blogisphere with Washington Times columnist Amanda Carpenter in her weekly “Policing the ‘Net” segment.
I [...]

New Moon director Chris Weitz has opted to shoot the pivotal Italy scenes in Montepulciano rather than Volterra based on what he feels is the former’s cinematographical advantage over the latter.
I think only the most crazed of the Twilight fanatics will even notice.
Some random pictures, including the much-anticipated reunion scene…

Last week, I wrote about the tragedy that often arises when people live their private lives out on camera.
I’m going to touch on that just a bit one last time.
I purposely didn’t tune in to the premiere of the new season of Jon & Kate Plus 8, because I refuse to participate in the tabloid [...]

I doubt anybody is really waiting for me to tell them when summer programming begins, so I’m not really going to make much of an effort researching the premiere dates for every single show.
This summer I’ll be watching Burn Notice, The Closer, Top Chef Masters, Monk, Psych, Leverage, and checking out Dylan McDermott’s new crime [...]

My moviegoing trends are pretty erratic. I’ll average maybe one a month for a while, and then, like this weekend, I’ll see three movies in two days. This summer promises to be one where I’ll see lots of movies. At least the ones generating all the buzz. I tend to be a ginormous fan of [...]

I must say, I think I’m anticipating the New Moon premiere (November 20, for anyone living under a rock) much more eagerly than I did the Twilight premiere.
It could be because of a new director (not that I didn’t like Catherine Hardwicke, but I really like Chris Weitz), but it’s probably mostly the 60% more [...]

“Only in a liberal’s mind would saving the planet carry more value than saving a life.” — Matt Spivey
I’ve been meaning to bring over an excellent column by Matt Spivey from the American Thinker that appeared on Tuesday. I believe it’s a very accurate depiction of the president and his speaking at Notre Dame’s commencement [...]

I was undeniably shocked when Kris Allen and Shawn Johnson won American Idol and Dancing With the Stars, respectively, this week — I literally gasped out loud when their names were announced. Actually, in Kris’ case, I think I shrieked.
I’m so happy — I wanted both of them to win, and they were both considered [...]
